Words escape me. I’m so excited about this web experience I can barely contain myself! As you know, I love music, and as you know I love to share music with people. This web experience (I won’t even call it a website because it’s that sick) is a dream for all those people who are DJs at heart. If you know what it feels like to play a song in front of a hundred+ people and once the beat hits every single one of them is jumping up and down, then you know what I’m talking about. You’re a DJ at heart and this is the site for you. I first read about this website concept and wasn’t sure if it was just Pandora/Hypem on steroids. It’s that and a whole lot more. I signed in using my facebook login, which right there tells you how viral this thing is going to be, I arrived at a lobby which instructed me to enter a room. Easy enough. I found a room which was playing a song that was familiar to me and was delighted to see that I had become an avatar in a crowd of 20 other people bobbing their heads to four DJs at the front of the stage. Quickly I saw that I could “Awesome” or “Lame” this song and let the DJ know if I was feeling it or not. I was feeling it so I “Awesome”‘d the song and my avatar started bobbing his head. DOPE. Okay so this was already a win in my mind, and then something crazy happened. A DJ left the room and his spot said “Play Music”. Um Yes. Next thing I know I’m searching for a song to play. It was an old school hip hop kind of crowd so I chose one of my alltime favorites, “My Boo” by Ghosttown DJs. Just old enough to invoke nostalgia, just fast enough to get a crowd going. It was the perfect song at the perfect time. The crowd erupted with comments: “YES” “Okay I feel ya!” “They you go noob” “He put it down”. That’s the feeling I’m talking about. DJ’s look no further. Turntable.fm. Find me ‘DJ Reliable’ never going to let you down!
