As a part of their 150 year Anniversary, TAG Heuer has released a new version of its popular Carrera line. I like how it is a little more simple compared to its mainstream counterpart. At $3,900 its a rather affordable luxury watch. However, I think affordable luxury is an oxymoron.

One of the classiest yet most complex watches we’ve seen in some time. Definitely a timeless piece that we wish we could get our hands on!

My brother and I got one of these as a christmas present back in elementary school. I remember wanting it so bad, I was nice to my brother for a WHOLE month in order to show my parents my dedication. I would have done anything for one of those… Some things never change. The white one is available at the link below.

Building off the popularity of Chanel’s J12 watch line, watch reseller Project X is offering Rolex watches that have been coated with “Diamond Like Carbon”, and blacked out a la the Chanel J12. They offer many other bespoke options such as diamonds and other rare jewels. Since Rolex does not offer this in their line of watches, your only bet to get a blacked out Rolex is to go with a company like Project X.

As a guy, a watch is about as much jewelry as one should wear. However, for the person who doesn’t need/want to keep track of time, the Marc Jacobs watch bracelet is worthy of a spot on your wrist.

Bell & Ross has decided to change it up a little bit and release new grey versions of their BR01-96 and BR01-97 timepieces. Limited to 500 pieces, these are sure to sellout fast among the Bell & Ross enthusiasts.

Diesel has applied their out of the box thinking to the DZ9044 watch, outfitting it with a plain black stainless steel flat case and applying 2 time movement dials on each side. Though not the most practical, I like the idea.

You can try the Nixon website today at 5pm (PST) to purchase the limited edition watch or an authorized Nixon dealer. Take note that each dealer will receive only 4 of these watches so make sure you contact them ASAP!

Rolex has updated a classic in the Datejust II. With just minimal changes like a larger face (41mm) and new dial options, the Datejust II stays true to form and is still timeless.

Nixon presents The Time Teller P. A clean minimalist watch that includes a minimalist price tag. Definitely a recession time piece.

The classic Breitling Chronomat gets revamped this year and the improvements include Caliber B01 Self-Winding Movement that is built in-house.

To commemorate their 40th Anniversary, Tag Heuer is re-releasing the iconic blue-dial Monaco made famous by Steve McQueen in the movie, “Le Mans.” Limited to 1,000 pieces, these are sure to go fast.

Linde Werdelin is a British watchmaker known in the industry for making exceptional and unique timepieces. A 1970s NOS automatic movement is used inside of this titanium partial skeletal design. The watch is not yet available, but will be priced in the $10k range. Save those pennies, this ain’t a recession watch.

The latest addition to the Dior Chiffre Rouge line, the Plongeur stands out in a class by itself.

Recently unveiled at SIHH 2009, the Deep Two is a brand new addition to the IWC Aquatimer family. This watch has always been a favorite and the new face lift is incredible.

Seriously, someone please make this pocket watch. High design blended with high functionality is a recipe for success (iPhone anyone?).

A friend of mine recently let me borrow a perfect replica of the BR-01 to try out and I must say that I am a huge fan of this watch. The original BR-01 design is timeless; it boasts a 46mm square face which is easily recognizable and hard to miss. If you know Bell & Ross at all, then you know you will get a high quality product with the precision of a fighter plane’s instruments. Large watches are the fashion accessory to have right now, but rest assured that when the fad is over, you will still have a fine timepiece.
